The end? 2.0

Hello! I think this is finally the last post of the year!! and we have to write some comments about our experience learning English at university, so I will start saying that I really hated our class schedule. Tuesdays wasn't nice days ): I arrived to the university at 10 O'clock and left at 7:30 of the afternoon! I was always tired, and go back to my home in metro was always horrible. 

We didn't had much classes, I mean like 'normal' classes in a room with presentations and all that kind of stuff, but I think that was our fault, because we always used to cancel the second class (sorry miss). Personally, I don't think that classes was so necessary because doing this blog I learnt a lot of more vocabulary and I improved my writing skills (well, that it's what I think) 

 Sometimes doing the blog gave me a lot of laziness, but I also think that this it's a good tool to learn and put in practice our vocabulary, grammar and writing skills. I'm sure that in the future we're going to have to use a lot of english in our work and research, so, the blogs are very useful and is a good practice for the future.

I think I have to improve in all the aspects of my english, I mean, I know a little bit, and if I go to other country I could communicate with people, but only the basic, and my pronunciation will be really bad.

Maybe the think what I have to improve the most is my pronunciation, It's something that really embarrasses me and I don't want it to remain an impediment! The plan to improve my speech it's watch and listen more series, movies and music on english, because I know for sure that it's a really helpful tool for learn more about this language.

With the time my english skills will no be a joke! 

Finally, outside the enlish class I use a lot of english, specially this days! Because one of my favourites bands are doing his debut in EE.UU!! and they are taking out a lot of material, like interviews, concerts, special appearances, and more. All this materiales and videos are always with english subtitles ): so I must adapt and look for the words that I don't understand.

The end

Hi! today we have to talk about our favourite subject (and others), so I will start with the subjects that we had this semester, and this were: archeology, anthropology, evolution, estadistic, social history of Chile and sociology. My favourite was evolution, I really love it! The classes were normal, I mean, teachers talked all the time (like in the school), but the way of doing it was so entertaining and interesting that they got my attention for completely. Some of they classes were only expositive, but also we had "practices" that were small activities related to the subject. I really enjoyed all that times.

We had the opportunity to glimpse extremely interesting contents, like the evolution of the men, variations between populations, a little bit of "the history of life" and taxonomy and systematics. 

As a final comment, I think that at the end of the classes, I have been left with the feeling of wanting to deepen even more on all these topics! They are so wonderful, I really want to continue with this! so I hope to be very lucky in the future and meet again with teacher miriam :) and learn about paleontology and great apes.

Hi!, today we have to talk about a person or expert on our field that we admire, but I think I really don't admire nobody that much, so... I don´t know, for that I'am going to choose a teacher. 

Miriam Pérez de los Ríos teach us in the Evolution class, and she holds the academic tittle of Doctor in Geology with a specialization on Paleontology for the University Complutense of Madrid and a Master in Paleontology for the University Autonoma of Barcelona and the Universitu of Barcelona.

There is no personal information about her on Internet, so I don't what to put, but what I know for sure is that she comes from Spain.

In her life, she has made a lot of great things! It's really awesome for me. She has participated in several investigations and she has worked as a teacher in many chilean universities.

I like her because teaches very well and has had a very prolific career. She is a person who knows very well what she is talking about, and one day I want to know as much as she.

The last thing about her is that she participated in a cooking show in Spain called: "Deja sitio para el postre". Besides knowing a lot of her area she knows how to cook!
She was eliminated from the show ): but she always going to live in our hearts <3.

Stupid decisions :'(

Hi! today we have to talk about go to the past or future. 

If I had a time machine I think I would like to go to the future, because I already know the past and I'm most interesting in the unknown, and I have a lot of questions like: "Will BTS win in Mama's vote? Will Blur come again to Chile? :'( Will I be a millionaire? Will I ever graduate?" I want answers :'( and I want them right now. 

Like I said before, I prefer the future, but if I could go to the past then I would like change all the moments when I did stupid purchases, like once when I bought a skirt of twelve "lucas" (XD) and at the other day I saw the same skirt, but it cost four "lucas". It wasn't even such a nice skirt :'(, it was an impulse purchase an now I want my money back :'(

And for finish this, if I can go to a period of history I think I would like go to the 90's when the members of Blur were young and made amazing concerts. I don't be there for too long, I would only see the concerts and then go back to the present, because I need my technology.

Summer days...

Hi! today I have to talk about a photograph I like and this is a very special photo for me. In it appears very special people, they are my best friends. We know each other since the seventh grade and the last year we went for the first time without our families to the beach. We decided to go to the Quisco after our graduation party and the PSU and it was a great time because very few people go to the beach in december :)

Catalina's mom took this photo (she is the first girl on the right) and this scene shows how happy we were to spend the holidays together. It was our first day there and as soon as we arrived we went straight to the beach, we did not even go to the cabins first, was a really happy day, we enjoy every minute.

I really love this photograph cause it reminds me of very happy moments and in this one there are beloved people for me. Whenever I'm stressed or I feel sad, I go back to see the photos of our vacations and I feel encouraged again.

And finally, in another blog I saw that they recommended songs, so I'll steal the idea and I'll do it too, jiji.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

For now my favourite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany's. I saw it last year and I totally fall in love with this movie. Maybe it's not the best, maybe not even among the best, but that doesn't take away its charm and it's my favourite because Audrey Hepburn creates a unique and charming atmosphere with her performance and makes you enjoy every minute by watching it on the screen.

If you're a fan of Audrey Hepburn this is a movie that you  totally should watch!

The movies I like to watch are normally very dramatic (because I love drama) and I like that behind the whole argument is hidden a message. I watch many animated films too.

And finally, the most recient movie I've seen is Relatos Salvajes, an argentinian film of anthology and dramatic comedy which shows the fragile barrier between civilization and barbarism in six stories with unexpected endings. It's a really great movie! fully recommended

It's not just a cellphone, it's my life

My favourite piece of technology it's my cellphone, I use it for everything, all the time. I really can not imagine my life without one, because I do very important things with it, like read the texts for the university, get information about the university and the works that we have, be in contact with my friends and family, listen to music, watch fun videos and pictures, etc.

My actual phone was a present on my last birthday (24th of July), and it's the material thing that I most apreciate (and also it's the most expensive thing that I have) and I love it because really entertain me, I can be all day with it (and wifi) and I'm not going to be bored. That point also scares me a little bit, because I think we have a dependent relationship (my phone and I).

With the time has become in more just than a cellphone, now it's my life (because a great part of my life is it in this little device).
